Level 3.2 · Content Management

Maintain and improve websites through content, data, testing, and design.

This six-week level builds on Level 2. You will use content management, analytics, and testing to improve existing websites and online shops.

Measurement and testing

Use webmaster tools, split tests, and digital analytics to find and report opportunities for improvement.

Search and social media

Work with search engine optimization (SEO), search engine marketing (SEM), and the use of social media in marketing.

Usability and design

Improve usability and apply current design and layout standards across different platforms.

CMS and webshop maintenance

Configure CMS extensions and maintain an online shop as its content and requirements change.

You will analyze and improve existing websites, document test results, revise usability and search performance, configure CMS features, and maintain webshop content. Assignments will state the required improvement and any optional extension work separately.

You will practice teamwork, constructive feedback, research, documentation, and adapting to new tools and methods. You will plan and deliver improvements within an agreed deadline.

Begin with Inspect a website with webmaster tools. Continue to Practice: Measure and report a website improvement after you complete the measurement-and-testing lessons.
